Our YOUth Are Great!

This year our YOUth will volunteer at the Northern Illinois Food Bank and Feed My Starving Children.

There are also youth group meetings with fun activities planned.  Youth in 7th - 12 grade are invited to be part of the Group!

Meetings/Soup Kettle

The YOUth Group usually meets on the first Friday of the month. The youth assist with Soup Kettle at 5:30pm and then meet for fun activities and learning experiences.

We’re going to start working on our Famine Event on January 22. The meeting will be held at Holy Trinity from 1 - 4pm.

The next regular meeting will be held on February 3.

Famine Update: We collected donations for World Vision to help build  a well so that people can heave clean water. We raised $4015 in 2011!  Thanks for your support!

30 Hour Famine Story

Our 30-Hour Famine Event is over. We are tired, elated, dirty, peaceful,. hopeful, more thoughtful, less wasteful, joyful and no longer hungry!

Our service project took us to Bethel New Life Lutheran Church in Chicago where we painted classrooms and met some of the children that attend the school.

We learned, we studied, we played, we prayed, we slept (a little), we worked (a lot), we thought, we dreamed, we shared, we worshiped, and at the very end, we ate.
